I've been grading essays since 11:30 -- it's almost 5pm. I'm still not done.
I was about a quarter of the way through the pile when I started at 11:30.
My brain is melting out of my ears.
This marathon grading session has resulted in me eating a LOT of chocolate and jolly ranchers. This is probably not healthy.
On the other hand, they're due Friday and once I'm done grading them I still have to input them into the bubble form -- one form per student.
I need a nap :(
@eleanor That sounds crazy!
My teachers were such important people who help shape me into who I am today and I'll never be able to thank them enough for everything they did.
You're amazing.
@afarian I don't normally let the grading build up, but it's the end of quarter and I prioritized getting the grades done that are due later but that the kids can actually re-do, before the end-of-quarter cutoff, since they can't re-do the assessment. Plus a lot of behavioral problems cropped up that needed to be handled, and one of my coworkers has developed a brain problem that's left me doing most of his planning.
It could be worse, though -- at least the county gives us half-days to grade!
